Learning Outcomes
- Obtaining studio experience in digital photography, including camera operation, lighting, design, Photoshop, and Idea generation; as well as studio taking color photographs and digital printing.
- Taking an introduction to basic design concepts, computer literacy, and software competency.
- Experiencing three of the basic types of publishing tools used by designers -- Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Develop a continued experience in Photography I.
- Surveying art from the early 20th century to the present AND the medium of photography from its invention in 1839 to the present, including the development of movies and video.
- Taking a second-level studio course that includes contemporary theory, photographic design issues, image manipulation, and image output.
- Electing additional in-depth studio experience in specific areas under the supervision of appropriate instructors.
