Program Director, Human Resources Management, Assistant Professor
Kimberly Zacherl serves as an Assistant Professor of Business, and Program Director for the Human Resource Management major in the Walker College of Business. She has an extensive and diversified background including over twenty years of industry experience with expertise in management, sales, and marketing. Throughout her career, Kimberly has hired, managed, and trained employees at various hotels, managed a 3,900 member food and beverage club, and has over a decade of college teaching experience including 13 subjects, and has conducted many outside and inside workshops / presentations. She has held positions including General Manager, Hotel Manager, Clubhouse Manager, Director of Sales and Marketing, Marketing Consultant, and Educational Program Coordinator. All of this experience in the field has assisted Kimberly with the expertise in her area of research. Her research efforts have focused primarily on social media usage in the recruitment and selection process. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Erie Advertising Club.
Kimberly has received numerous grants (Diversity Enrichment Grants, Academic Enrichment Grants, and Technology-Enabled Teaching Grants), serves on various community and University committees, and has demonstrated success in human resource management, customer relationship management, customer acquisition, training, mentorship, event management, strategic partnerships, and in developing knowledgeable and successful students.
Kimberly is an SPHR, a SHRM-SCP, holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from Gannon University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from ÈÕº«ÂÒÂ× University.
