ÈÕº«ÂÒÂ× hosts special exhibit celebrating NPAA’s 50th anniversary
The Northwestern Pennsylvania Artists Association (NPAA) celebrates its 50th anniversary with a special exhibition at ÈÕº«ÂÒÂ× University’s Cummings Art Gallery Oct. 15-Jan. 17, 2025.
Founded in 1974 by a small group of visionary artists, NPAA has grown into a thriving organization of more than 100 professional artists. Its mission is to support established and emerging artists through exhibitions, education, and scholarships.
During the past 50 years, NPAA has organized more than 100 exhibitions and awarded over $106,000 in scholarships to 47 students. The 50th Anniversary Exhibition will feature works from current and founding NPAA members, showcasing a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.
The exhibition will also feature a special Artists Reception on Nov. 7 from 5-7 p.m., when the public can meet the artists and enjoy refreshments at Cummings Gallery, according to Gallery Director Matthew Coté.
"This exhibition is a celebration of the incredible talent that has shaped the NPAA over the past 50 years," said Greg Zbach, NPAA president. "We’re excited to honor our past while looking forward to the future of the arts in our community."
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 2-6 pm. It will be closed on weekends during winter break.
